Jon Lewis was drafted by the Florida Marlins in the 16th Round of the 2005 Major League Baseball Draft. He had a five year professional career in the Minor Leagues, the Northern League and Frontier League. In 2008, Jon was named to the Frontier League’s All-Star Game.

Before pro baseball, Jon was a full scholarship athlete at Division I Stony Brook University. At Stony Brook, Jonathan was the 2002 America East Conference Rookie of the Year a2aND a Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American. He went on to hold the Stony Brook’s all-time records in innings pitched and strikeouts. During his college career, Jon was fortunate enough to be invited to play in the prestigious Cape Cod Summer Baseball League. In 2003, he played for the Hyannis Mets and in 2004 he played for the Bourne Braves.

Prior to Stony Brook, Jon attended Francis Lewis High School in Queens. In his senior year, he was inducted into the Francis Lewis High School Hall of Fame. He was also named the 2001 NYC Iron Horse Winner (top baseball player for all of NYC public schools). He also was named New York Newsday’s Queens Baseball Player of the Year along withe making All-City teams for New York Newsday and the New York Daily News. At Francis Lewis HS, Jonathan was named junior and senior year Athlete of the Year. He was also honored by being selected to play for Team New York City in the Empire State Games (New York State Olympics).


Ryan McGee played at Caldwell College from 2001-2005, and Lawrence High School on Long Island. He had a decorated high school career and led many of the statistical categories at Caldwell. However, what Ryan brought to the Caldwell program cannot be measured in numbers. He had a knack for being a player that was in the right place at the right time and making game winning plays. His leadership abilities were outstanding and he always demonstrated a team-first attitude. Ryan received First Team All-CACC honors in 2004 and 2005, and in 2005 he was also voted Second Team NJCBA All-State. Ryan also received CACC All-Tournament Team Honors in 2003 and 2004.

After Ryan’s playing days he entered the coaching world. He served as an assistant coach for Caldwell College from 2006-2008. Ryan was part of the coaching staff that lead Caldwell College to its second conference championship and NCAA Regionals appearances in school history. In addition to coaching at Caldwell, Ryan has also coached travel teams in the tri-state area.


HASANI WHITFIELD played at Caldwell College from 2001-2005. During his career as a Cougar he earned three All-CACC, two ACBA/Rawlings Northeast All Region honors and the 2005 CACC Player of the Year award. In 2003, Hasani had one of the most successful seasons not only in Caldwell College history but in CACC history. As a Sophomore, Hasani ended the season with a .462 Batting average which was good for 7th in nation for NCAA Division II. When Hasani’s career was over at Caldwell he left as the all-time career hits leader along with the career leader in other statistical categories.

Since Hasani’s playing days he has been coaching travel club teams as well as passing along his knowledge to players during various clinics. Recently Hasani was hired as assistant coach at Union County Community College. Hasani was also recently inducted into the Caldwell College Athletics Hall of Fame. Hasani has a very successful approach to the plate which made him one of the best hitters in Caldwell College history as well as the CACC’s history. Now he looks to pass on his knowledge to young players today.


Mike Kolesar joined the Gamers staff in the Spring of 2013. Kolesar played for Division II Caldwell College and enjoyed one of the most impressive four-year college careers in the school’s history. As team captain for three years, Kolesar was a 3-time All-CACC and All-State athlete for the Cougars. In 2004 he was 2nd in the nation among Division II ballplayers in stolen bases. He made 1st Team All-Region as a Pitcher/Outfielder, and earned the CACC Tournament MVP that year. Kolesar was also an NCAA Division II Regional Championship participant during his illustrious career. Mike was recently inducted into the Caldwell University Athletic Hall of Fame.

After Mike’s playing days he became a winter clinic coach for Caldwell and a private baseball instructor. Mike has also coached with the New City Little League organization (New City, NY), Clarkstown Stars ball club and many other organizations in both NY and NJ. The Gamers organization is thrilled to add Mike’s fiery personality and passion for the game to their front office and coaching staff


Coach Chad Williams starred at Granite Hills High School in California and was a three-time all-league selection and two-time team MVP. After High School he continued his playing career for San Diego State under Tony Gwynn for two years and then transferred to Chico State, where he boasted a .310 batting average over two years—2005 and 2006. Coach Williams played in two Division II College World Series with Chico State.

After playing Coach Williams coached HS baseball in California for 5 years and coached the Nationally known San Diego Gamers for 4 years. Coach Williams is a great addition to the Gamer staff and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to get our kids working with Coach Williams.


After a successful freshman year at Divison I Rider University, Pitcher Alison Meagher joins the Gamers Staff to help bring her pitching knowledge to the youth. Alison has begun her career in the softball world by becoming a Rutgers Certified Youth Softball coach as well as a Certified ASA Umpire. She also volunteers her time as an instructor for the Clark Girls Softball League. Alison had four successful years at Clark Johnson High School where she was a four year varsity letter winner as well as team captain. She was a team representative on the Athletic Leadership Council which helped her lead the team to the conference championship as a starting pitcher. Alison was awarded All-Conference as a junior and senior as well as First Team All-County and Group II. Alison earned a 1.79 era with 131 strikeouts in 106 innings. Alison also succeeded in other sports as well and was a four-year letter winner in swimming.Please join us in welcoming Alison to the Gamers Staff.
